FAQ's
What is your COVID Policy?
We encourage people to consider wearing a mask in the venue and can provide hand sanitiser. Please ensure those with symptoms, or with positive tests, do not come to the Mix. (You can redirect them to our Youtube page where we will be live-streaming!)
Do we need to book tickets and does it cost?
The Mix is completely free! You don't need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. We ask that a youth leader from each group registers as you arrive. We will need to know the name of the group leader, their contact information, the church / organisation you are representing and how many young people you have brought in your group. We do not need to know the names of individual young people attending.
What about safeguarding?
Young people who come with a youth group fall under the safeguarding policy of their own group when at the Mix. If any disclosures are made, we contact the church the young person has attended with appropriately. Any young people who don't come with a youth group are assigned a pre-agreed group for safeguarding purposes.
What time does The Mix end?
We aim to finish at 9.30pm. Sometimes we might over run because of ministry time and making space for young people to meet with Jesus. We don't want to rush what the Holy Spirit does on the evening, but do want to honour your time well!
How long has The Mix been running?
The Mix has been running for over 20years in some form at Woodlands Church and has featured on ITV documentary's in the 90's (See Future of the Mix video)
Can my young person come on their own without a youth leader or parent?
We recommend all young people need to be accompanied by a responsible adult in case of an emergency or if something were to happen so we have emergency contact details.
